Join us on Saturday, August 6, for a day of discernment at "Called by the Spirit Charism Discernment Retreat." We welcome all parishioners aged 14 and above to join us.  

At our baptism, we are given so many gifts!  Especially important are our charisms.  Each of us is called by virtue of our baptism to respond to and cooperate with God’s grace in the world using our charisms.  

This grace is both life-giving and sustaining, fulfilling every aching heart that yearns for more. We seek, with wonderment and awe, the revelation of God intimately with us through the Holy Spirit. Through discernment, let God reveals our role in his great plan and invites an active response that offers our restless hearts purpose and meaning.  

The retreat includes media and small and large group activities to convey Church teachings, lunch, and a Spiritual Gifts Discernment tool: Uniquely His, which is designed to help you identify the charism God has given you. Discovering your charism allows you to see how you can be more connected to our parish community and help others out in the world, too.  

After this retreat, everyone in invited to continue to continue the discernment process individually or through a small group community to see how to best put them them to use. Each week after the retreat, small groups will study the Gospel of Mark to continue the discernment process. Registration remains open on the parish website until August 1.
