COMMITTEES

All parents of St. Hubert School students are encouraged to take an active role in their child’s education by volunteering and becoming involved in the school community.  Countless opportunities exist when it comes to getting involved! You may consider serving on a committee, such as the St. Hubert School PTO, School Advisory or Wellness committee. Each committee plays an important role in our school community.

Wellness

Promoting health and wellness for all students is the shared responsibility of families, schools, communities and the students themselves.  The mission of St. Hubert Wellness committee is to foster a culture that promotes healthier lifestyles including physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well being. The Wellness Committee is comprised of school staff, parents and student, and meets quarterly.

Parent Teacher Organization

The St. Hubert School’s PTO mission is to create and maintain a cohesive educational community through fellowship and hospitality for parents, students and teachers.

The PTO committee is responsible for hosting numerous special events during the year, and for raising funds to cover the cost of these activities. The committee depends on parent volunteers throughout the school year to help them in this effort.

School Advisory Committee

The mission of the School Advisory Committee is to create an environment that enables the parents and faculty of the St. Hubert community to provide a sound, quality education in a Catholic setting for students in grades K – 8.

The School Advisory Committtee’s main role is to advise and support the Administration on broad issues that impact students, parents or faculty. The Committee reviews and evaluates policies and potential policies and provides feedback as appropriate.

Sub-committees have been formed within the committee, and each focuses on defined objectives for the school year. Committees include: technology, communication, development and nominating. In addition, representatives from various parish/school groups are present at the meetings to facilitate sharing of information as to their current/ongoing initiatives. The following groups are represented: Parish Council, Athletics/Booster Club, PTO, Health and Wellness and Spring Fling.

Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month, and are open to parents and faculty, unless otherwise designated. Please contact the chairperson prior to the meeting to be added to the agenda.
