COMMITTEES

All parents of St. Hubert School students are encouraged to take an active role in their child’s education by volunteering and becoming involved in the school community.  Countless opportunities exist when it comes to getting involved! You may consider serving on a committee, such as the St. Hubert School PTO, School Advisory, Technology or Wellness committee. Each committee plays an important role in our school community.

Parent Teacher Organization

The St. Hubert School’s PTO mission is to create and maintain a cohesive educational community through fellowship and hospitality for parents, students and teachers.

The PTO committee is responsible for hosting numerous special events during the year, and for raising funds to cover the cost of these activities. The committee depends on parent volunteers throughout the school year to help them in this effort.  You can contact PTO with questions or comments at our email address: pto@sthubert.org

School Advisory Committee

The mission of the School Advisory Committee is to create an environment that enables the parents and faculty of the St. Hubert community to provide a sound, quality education in a Catholic setting for students in grades K – 8.

The School Advisory Committtee’s main role is to advise and support the Administration on broad issues that impact students, parents or faculty. The Committee reviews and evaluates policies and potential policies and provides feedback as appropriate as well as to establish long and short term goals and objectives for St. Hubert School.

The SAC meets the first Wednesday of each month.  Please contact members or email the committee if there are items you would like brought to SAC. Email Schooladvisory@sthubert.org

Technology Committee

The mission of the Technology Committee is to educate and empower administrators, teachers, and students to become self-directed, continuous learners and ethical, responsible individuals prepared to meet the increasing challenges of a global, technical society.

We meet on the second Tuesday of each month. Our group is comprised of both faculty and parents.  Our primary focus for the 2009-2010 school year is teacher technology training.  Sub-committees have been formed within the committee, and each focuses on specific objectives for the school year. Committees include: Master's Golf Raffle, website, teacher web pages, mini-tech classes, curriculum integration, software and hardware.

The Technology Committee organizes the Master's Golf Raffle and the proceeds benefit our technology department.  During the school year, the Technology Committee, in conjunction with the KIND team, offer an Internet Safety night for parents.

Wellness

Promoting health and wellness for all students is the shared responsibility of families, schools, communities and the students themselves.  The mission of St. Hubert Wellness committee is to foster a culture that promotes healthier lifestyles including physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well being. The Wellness Committee is comprised of school staff, parents and student, and meets quarterly.

Green Team

The Green Team is a new student environmental involvement and leadership opportunity for the 2009-2010 school year. The team is a group of 5th-8th grade students dedicated to improving the impact on the environment of our St. Hubert Community members through our  own actions and by educating others.  Green Team meets 1 to 2 Wednesdays a month after school from 4:00-4:45 pm.
