FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN

Feed My Starving Children is an organization that is dedicated to feeding God's starving children who are hungry in body and spirit. Therefore, volunteers donated their time to pack nutritious meals that are made up of rice, soy, vitamins and dehydrated vegetables. Because they are a partnership with relief organization worldwide, the meals are then distributed to starving children globally. With this experience, the students in 3rd and 5th grades have the opportunity to learn about other cultures around the world as well as how poverty has personally affected them. Students can then truly make a difference by donating their time to help out those in need.

We also believe it is important for our students to learn and understand the Catholic Social Teachings. Therefore, by providing students with the opportunity to help the Feed My Starving Children, students are gaining a greater understanding of the following Catholic Social Teachings: Option for the Poor, Rights and Responsibilities, and Common Good and Community.

It' is our hope that by providing students with this community service trip, it will inspire them to continue serving God's people and making a difference in our world.
