Psychologist, Dr. Steve Kahn
St. Hubert School has a long-standing contract with a licensed child psychologist, Dr. Steven Kahn, who is available, at no charge, to our students and parents as part of their school enrollment. Dr. Kahn has been a part of our school community for ten years.

Please feel free to talk with Dr. Kahn about concerns you might have about your child at home or at school. Parents sometimes call about behavioral problems at home or at school or difficult life events that have been affecting their children. Depending on the situation, you might ask him to meet with your child or with you as parents. In other cases, he might decide to speak with the teachers or with individual classes. He can also discuss various assessment options that may be available to you.

Kesney McCarthy , School Counselor
Kesney McCarthy is a licensed K-12 Guidance Counselor located at St. Hubert on a full-time basis. Her services are available to all students.  Referrals to see Mrs. McCarthy can be made by teachers, students or parents.  Mrs. McCarthy can provide services on an as-needed basis or through ongoing, proactive support.  She is available for crisis, grief or relational counseling for students.  She can also provide student groups on topics such as social skills, family change and organizational skills, depending on need.

Mrs. McCarthy can support families in developing 504 plans.  If your student has a medical diagnosis that affects his/her learning in any way, these plans can be written on a temporary or ongoing basis to outline accommodations that may help your student to be more successful at school. Please contact Mrs. McCarthy with any questions about  the services she can provide, or to make a referral.  At St. Hubert, we strongly believe in providing resources to support your student through these developmental milestones.  Please let us know how we can be of support to your family.
