A Component of SHS School Age Child Care (SACC) Program
What is the SACC Kindergarten Plus Program?
Kindergarten Plus is a half day Kindergarten enhancement program in addition to the St. Hubert School traditional half day Kindergarten. The SACC Kindergarten Plus Program consists of monthly thematic activities, curriculum enrichment, as well as time with fine arts specialists. Students will eat lunch at school, participate in lunchtime recess, and share in other school-wide activities such as weekly Mass.
Example of a Kindergarten Plus Schedule
(Times may vary based on the morning/afternoon programs, but activities will remain the same.)
9:00 A.M. – Morning Meeting – announcements, lunch count, prayer, morning message, Writer’s Workshop
9:30 A.M. – Time with SHS specialist (music, gym, art, computer, etc.)
9:50 A.M. – Story, Art and Theme Time (projects and activities dealing with monthly theme)
10:25 A.M. – Snack (provided), short free play or outdoor recess
10:50 A.M. – Center Time – art, math, listening, writing, games, poetry and play, read and re-tell, and ABC Centers (activities extending from Kindergarten curriculum)
11:30 A.M. – Clean up, Circle Time
11:45 A.M. – Lunch/Recess, Quiet Time
1:00 P.M. – Leave for Kindergarten
