Small Groups are a great opportunity to create deep and lasting relationships with people who will join you in your faith journey and in building your personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

What are Small Groups and how do they work?

Small Group: A group of 5-12 people who gather together to socialize, pray, study and grow in the Catholic faith.

Meeting Location: Groups often meet in a home, but may choose to meet elsewhere (i.e. a coffee shop).  St. Hubert provides space and a specific study for groups to meet on Tuesday mornings and Thursday evenings throughout fall and winter sessions.

Facilitator: A facilitator plans and organizes the study, and facilitates the discussion.  You do not need to be a scripture scholar to facilitate, and training is provided.

Materials: Choose study materials from a variety of topics on the approved St. Hubert listing (see the tab to the right).  Topics include scripture study, prayer, or other topics such as parenting.

Why should I join a St. Hubert Small Group?

Relationship/Community: Small groups are an opportunity to create deep and lasting relationships with people who will share times of joy in your life, and encourage and help you in times of difficulty.  Small groups build our sense of community and help us to BELONG to the family.

Faith: Small groups help you to know, love, and serve the Lord through prayer, generosity and evangelization.  They help you to build your faith and STRENGTHEN your friendship with Christ and the Catholic Church.

Relevance: Small groups are flexible and can select materials geared to members’ interests and needs. They help you to RECEIVE God’s grace in your daily life.

Mission: Small groups can help you discern and live out the unique mission God has given to you on this earth.  They help you to SHARE the joy of the gospel with others in your life.

Small groups are fun!

Here at St. Hubert, the fall session runs from September through early December.  We take time off for the Christmas season and meet again for the winter session from January through March.  St. Hubert provides space and a study for small groups to meet on Tuesday mornings and Thursday evenings throughout the fall and winter sessions.

Parishioners may also start their own small group by inviting friends and choosing materials from our approved studies list (check out the tab on the right).  Debbie King will help you plan and organize your small group, train you to facilitate, and provide support throughout the study.  Contact Debbie at debbie.king@sthubert.org to get started!
