Small Groups

  • St. Hubert Catholic Community 8201 Main Street Chanhassen, MN 55317 United States (map)

The invitation to meet Jesus in a small group setting was not just a privilege for the apostles. Jesus continues to say, “Come and you will see” to those who wish to have a more intimate companionship with him and their fellow disciples in small groups.

We believe small group ministry will:

  • foster personal relationships,

  • build community, and

  • provide formation, so we all may grow as joyful missionary disciples of Christ.

The small groups ministry at St. Hubert offers a variety of groups for all types of interests with the flexibility to meet at St. Hubert, at parishioner homes, or at local establishments. Groups arranged by men, women, singles, couples, and divorced are just a few examples.

So please “come and see” or as Fr. Talbot writes, “small group ministry has strengthened and, in some cases, transformed the faith life of St. Hubert parishioners. My prayer is that your participation in small group ministry would likewise renew and strengthen your faith.”

Contact the parish office with any questions and follow the directions below to sign up for your small group!

Small Group Leader Testimonies

“Both Lacey and I have been members of small groups separately but now choose to form our own small group together. We’re doing it for our marriage but also for our kids.  We’re also doing it for others who are looking for community. For others who are looking to enrich their faith life.  For others who have young kids looking up to mom and dad for guidance in a crazy world.”  Jon and Lacey West (Couples group)

“My experience being in a small group at St. Huberts began nine years ago when I listened to that quiet voice urging me to sign up for a study group. I had been reading many wonderful Catholic books; however, our faith is one of relationships and God knew I would need that in my life. Joining a small group seemed like the natural next step in my faith journey.  At the time my hope was to learn more about my Catholic faith.  God, however, always has greater and grander plans than what we can imagine.” Therese McCarthy (Caregivers group)

“The people I would like to form a group with are those who have experienced the difficulties of a separation or divorce. This is definitely not a support group. But I envision a group of likeminded people whose life experiences have shaped their faith journey and either led them closer to or away from Christ.” Mary Beth Maki (Divorced/Separated group)

I was a regular once-a-week-church-going-Catholic (Sunday evenings at 6:00 Mass).
In the depths of my heart, I wanted more. I yearned for more. God was whispering in my heart.
God is whispering in all our hearts. He wants more. He wants our hearts. He wants us! How do we answer God’s whisper? Courage.” Greg DeBenedetto (Everyone group)
